Robins Nest
About the Program
It all starts with people who care.
A skin cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming. If you’re a patient or survivor looking for support, or if someone you care about has skin cancer, our Robins Nest program provides guidance to help you navigate the complexities in gaining access to health care.
We can point you in the right direction and connect you with a carefully curated collection of internal and external resources, to streamline your search for assistance that best suits your needs, from managing health care or transportation costs to helping you cope with the disease.
Robins Nest is different because the program was designed with the unique challenges of the skin cancer patient in mind, to ensure that you’ll find specific answers to all-too-common questions like, “Where do I begin?” and “What should I do next?”
We encourage you to take an active role in your diagnosis and treatment by educating yourself, advocating for yourself and remembering that a healthy lifestyle and good health care go hand in hand.
Here are some initial suggestions:
- Connect with all health care providers so that everyone is on the same page regarding your skin cancer diagnosis, medicines and treatment.
- Find the support you need. Check our support resources page for a list of national services and organizations that may be able to help.
- Seek assistance for issues that arise as a result of your diagnosis. Reach out to friends, family and support services, and ask local hospitals, medical offices or community agencies if they offer assistance.
